Office Location (Real Life Location)

I travelled to my Dad's workplace to gather images of a real life office, so I can visualise how an office is laid out and what's included in an office. I used the Panorama feature on my phone to get the full interior of the office which I think helps massively. The office has a basic structure and pattern with the walls being white and having a dark carpet. Most of the Office contains computers and desks where employees work. The office also contains a small kitchen where employees have a break. The main part of the office is the Manager's office where it has one main desk and a round table for meetings. Other rooms that I could not capture were the Meeting Room, Storage, the toilets and another set of stairs.

It was really helpful going to my dad's office because I got a feel for the size of the office and how much space there was and the layout of the desks. I was impressed with the layout of the managers office because it has more of an open space. This really helped me when i was creating my layout for my 3D office.

2D & 3D Animation Survey (for my FMP):

I studied all of the replies from the survey and from the answers I calculated that "Backstory & Personality" are the two most important things when creating a character. Everyone strongly agreed that "Character Development" is most important in a story. The best genre for a short story about a secret door was "Sci-Fi or Action/ Adventure". The most important aspect of creating a character was "Personality". The time length for a short story was split between "1-5 mins" and "6-11 mins". Most people preferred 3D animation and thought "Combining Animation & Live Action" works well. Lastly the majority of people voted the importance of music in animations was 4 ("Very Important"). This was very helpful to me when creating my FMP.

I emailed Milo Targett asking about how he creates and plans 3D characters and what softwares he is most comfortable to use and the most important aspects of creating a character.
